wir möchten euch ein wenig von eurem intensiven Studium ablenken und euch mitteilen, dass vom 29. Januar bis zum 5. Februar unsere Veranstaltungsreihe "Culture Bridge 2024. Lviv - Jena" an unserer Universität stattfinden wird.<br>

Während dieser hybriden Online-Veranstaltung könnt ihr die Geschichte und Kultur der Ukraine kennenlernen und euren Blick auf Deutschland erweitern. Diskussionen, neue Bekanntschaften und interessante Beiträge - all das wird Stereotypen aufbrechen und helfen,
aktuelle Fragen in Bezug auf Geschichte und Kultur zu beantworten.<br>
Diese Veranstaltung wird mit Unterstützung des Studierendenrates der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena und der Studierendenvertretung der Nationalen Ivan-Franko-Universität Lviv durchgeführt.<br>

We would like to distract you a little from your intensive studies and inform you that from January 29 to February 5 our event series "Culture Bridge 2024. Lviv – Jena" will be held at our university.<br>
📍When? 29.01 – 02.02.<br>
📍How? Hybrid format<br>
During this online event, you will be able to explore the history and culture of Ukraine, as well as expand your outlook on Germany. Discussions, new acquaintances and captivating speakers – all this will break stereotypes and help to solve current issues of
history and culture.<br>
This event will be held with the support of the Student Council of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and the Student Government of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.<br>

<p><span lang="DE" style="">im folgenden weiter Details zum Termin der Projektwoche und zu den angedachten Veranstaltungen:</span><br>

<p>In der Woche vom 22.Januar sollen nachmittags in etwas 2-3 Stunden etwa 2-3 Veranstaltungen pro Tag stattfinden. Das ist aber nur eine grobe Orientierung - Format und Länge sind nicht vorgegeben - nur online bzw. hybrid-tauglich sollte es sein, damit Studierende
beider Universitäten teilnehmen können. Technische Unterstützung lässt sich bei Bedarf sicherlich über die Uni organisieren. Da über 15 Initiativen kontaktiert wurden, könnt ihr euch hierbei auf ein oder zwei Ideen konzentrieren.

<p>Die Culture Bridge Lviv-Jena ist als ein studentisches Projekt zu verstehen und insofern gibt es keine strengen Anforderungen an Qualifikationen die Organisatoren einzelner Veranstaltungen.

<p>Zur thematischen Ausgestaltung an dieser Stelle nochmal der Hinweis auf die ursprüngliche Mail: "Ziel ist es, sich mit kulturhistorischen Faktoren, aktuellen Bedingungen und möglichen Treibern der kulturellen Entwicklung beider Länder im Rahmen neuer europäischer
Trends auseinanderzusetzen." <br>

Es wird im Vorfeld ein Onlineformular geben über das Veranstaltungen angemeldet werden können - da das ein erstes Mal ist, kann ich im Vorfeld leider keine Beispiele für Veranstaltungen geben. Vorstellen könnte man sich Vorträge, Paneldiskussionen, Kulturbeiträge,
Lesungen, Workshops etc. - entweder selbstorganisiert oder in Kooperation mit Dozierenden, anderen Initiativen und co.</p>
<p>Ende Oktober bin ich wieder vor Ort in Jena und stehe dann auch für persönliche Gespräche bereit. Nachfragen können aber auch gerne per Mail gestellt werden.</p>

<p><span lang="DE" style="">in the following I will some more details on the date of the event and the envisioned event format:<br>

<p>In the week from 22.January we have planned for 2-3 Events to take place in 2-3 hours in the afternoon each day. However, duration and format of the events are not strictly fixed - we are flexible to adapt to your ideas. The only requirement is that the
events can be held online or in a hybrid form, so that students from both universities can participate. (Technical support can be requested from the university if necessary). More than 15 initiatives have been contacted - so there is no need to stress yourself
about organize multiple events - you can focus on one or two ideas :) <br>

<p>The Culture Bridge Lviv-Jena is a student project and as such there are no strict requirements regarding the qualifications of the hosts/speakers of the individual events.

<p>Regarding the theme of the sessions: Everything is welcome that connects to the overall goal of the week of "<i>immersing in historical-culture factors, current condition and possible vectors of culture development of both countries within new European trends</i>"<br>
</p>
<p>There will be an online form for registering your events with the organising committee. With this being the first instance of this event, I can unfortunately not give you examples of other sessions - Maybe think of talks, panel discussion, cultural sessions,
readings, workshops etc. - either held by yourself or in cooperation with lecturers or other initiatives.<br>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="DE" style="">Die Idee ist eine Kulturwoche "Culture Bridge 2023. Lviv - Jena", die hauptsächlich von der Studierendenvertretung der Nationalen Ivan-Franko-Universität Lviv in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Studierendenrat der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität
und euch als lokalen Partnern durchgeführt werden soll. Geplant ist eine fünftägige Reihe von Online-Veranstaltungen zu kulturellen Aspekten, wobei jeder Tag einem anderen Aspekt gewidmet ist. Ziel ist es, sich mit kulturhistorischen Faktoren, aktuellen Bedingungen
und möglichen Treibern der kulturellen Entwicklung beider Länder im Rahmen neuer europäischer Trends auseinanderzusetzen. Während dieses Programms können sich die Studierenden mit dem kulturellen Erbe der Ukraine und Deutschlands vertraut machen, deren Ursprung
analysieren und die Besonderheiten verschiedener Kunstrichtungen hervorheben. Diese Art der Interaktion soll nicht nur die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den ausrichtenden Universitäten stärken, sondern auch die künftige Kommunikation zwischen den Vertreter*innen
der ukrainischen und deutschen Jugend durch die Erforschung der Sozialpsychologie eines bestimmten Landes, die in der Regel untrennbar mit seiner Kultur verbunden ist, verbessern. Untenstehend findet ihr einen kleinen Auszug aus dem in Lviv erarbeiteten
<i>Project Proposal.</i></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="DE" style="">Ursprünglich angedachter Termin war die Zeit vom 23. bis 27. Oktober. Dies wird in Abhängigkeit von Beginn und Fortschritt der Detailplanungen aber voraussichtlich noch einmal nach hinten verschoben.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Student Government of the University of Lviv contacted me about an interesting project proposal and I am reaching out to you to ask for your cooperation and support within this mutually developed initiative.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The initiative is a culture week “Culture Bridge 2023. Lviv - Jena”, which is supposed to be a project mainly implemented by the Student Government of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in cooperation with the Student Council of Friedrich
Schiller University and local Jena initiatives. It is planned as a 5-day series of online events on the cultural aspects, each day being dedicated to one aspect, with the purpose of immersing in historical-culture factors, current conditions and possible vectors
of culture development of both countries within new European trends. During this program students will be able to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Ukraine and Germany, make analysis of its origin and highlight specific features of diverse art directions.
Such a way of interaction is aimed at not only strengthening cooperation between the implementing universities, but also improving future communication between the representatives of Ukrainian and German youth by means of research on the social psychology
of a certain country which is usually inextricably linked with its culture. A short extract from the project proposal can be found below.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The approximate dates of the week itself were initially planned to be October 23-27. However, will most likely be altered depending on how the preparation begins and goes.</p>

<i>4.1 Project context / Problem Analysis </i><br>
<br>
<i>Analysing the process of historical development and formation of the cultures of Ukraine and Germany, one can come to an obvious conclusion about differences in social principles, values, and approaches to solving many issues. Quite often, such discrepancy
is caused by cultural factors, the misunderstanding of which, in turn, becomes an obstacle to effective cooperation in various fields. Moreover, it all leads to the occurrence of certain images or ideas of one nation about another which are typically far from
the truth. </i><br>
<font size="6"><i><span style="font-size:11pt; line-height:107%">We are convinced that the more people learn, the more they can draw their own conclusions. The Culture week “Culture Bridge 2023. Lviv - Jena” can become a tool for overcoming misinterpretations
and stereotypes that exist in Ukrainian-German communication. Through direct contact, communication and joint projects, students can learn more about each other's culture and traditions, understand each other’s specific features and break stereotypes that
may be a part of their perception of one another. In addition, the project is believed to significantly help in mutual integration, which is currently paramount, especially for Ukrainian students.</span></i></font>
