As a group of students from the Universities of Regensburg, Jena and Graz studying Southeast European Studies (SEES), we have come together because we are not only passionate about Southeast Europe but also think there is a lack of opportunities for students
interested in the region to connect. And so emerged the idea for the SEES Student Symposium, which aims at providing an opportunity for students to come together and serves as a platform for exchange and feedback on current research papers (seminar papers,
bachelor’s and master’s theses, etc.) and other projects. After last year’s successful opening edition, we are eager to see what will come out of the second SEES Student Symposium.<br>

We are thus excited to announce the second edition of the SEES Student Symposium which will be held online from 4 April to 6 April 2024. Students who are interested in contributing may send their abstracts (max. 300 words) together with a short bio (max. 100
words) in one PDF by 29 January 2024 to our e-mail address.<br>

Please find attached the Call for Applications. We kindly ask you to forward the call to students who might be interested (explicitly also Bachelor students).<br>

als Gruppe von Studierenden der Südosteuropastudien der Universitäten Regensburg, Jena und Graz, haben wir uns zusammengefunden, weil wir uns nicht nur für die Region begeistern, sondern auch für die Vernetzung der Studierenden einsetzen wollen. So entstand
die Idee eines digitalen Southeast European Studies (SEES) Student Symposium. Ziel dessen ist, SOE-Studierenden und denjenigen, die einen fachlichen Bezug zu Südosteuropa haben, eine Plattform zum Austausch und für Feedback zu aktuellen Forschungsarbeiten
(Seminararbeiten, Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten, etc.) und Projekten zu bieten.<br>

Nachdem die Veranstaltung 2023 zum ersten Mal erfolgreich stattgefunden hat, freuen wir uns nun, dass wir ab jetzt Bewerbungen für das zweite SEES Student Symposium entgegennehmen können! Das Symposium wird vom 4. April bis 6. April 2024 online stattfinden.
Interessierte Studierende bitten wir, ihr Abstract samt kurzer Biographie in einer PDF bis zum 29. Januar 2024 einzureichen.<br>
