Szymborska basiert. Im Mittelpunkt des Films steht die
ursprüngliche Inspiration des Gedichts, ein japanischer
Farbholzschnitt aus dem 19. Jahrhundert mit dem Titel „Menschen
auf einer Brücke“ von Hiroshige Utagawa.<br style="box-sizing:

"Tatarak", ein Film, der auf einer Kurzgeschichte von Jarosław
Iwaszkiewicz, einem der bedeutendsten polnischen Schriftsteller,
basiert, scheint auf den ersten Blick eine subtile und
berührende Geschichte über eine unmögliche Liebe zu sein, aber
Andrzej Wajda geht noch weiter und schafft eine mehrdimensionale
Geschichte über Liebe, die zu spät kommt, und den Tod, der immer
zu früh kommt.</font></p>
