the G-RIPS Organizing Team is thrilled to announce that the Graduate-Level Research in Industrial Projects for Students (G-RIPS) program is now accepting applications for the 2024 program in Berlin. G-RIPS is a joint effort between Zuse Institut Berlin, Freie Universitaet Berlin, Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (LA, USA), and the Research Campus MODAL Berlin.

The G-RIPS program is an exceptional opportunity for high-achieving graduate-level students (Master level or early PhD students) to work on real-world research projects sponsored by industry or the public sector. Each G-RIPS team comprises four international students (two from the US and two from European universities), an academic mentor, and an industrial sponsor. The research problems are carefully selected and offer stimulating challenges to the students.

The program involves both analytic and computational work, and students will learn about the problem and master the latest analytical and computational approaches and techniques to solve it. At the end of the program, the teams will present the results of their work and prepare a final report. English is the only language required for participation.

The deadline for application is 22 May 2024 (or when all spots are filled), and scholarships for travel and accomodation are available. We would appreciate it if you could share this information with interested Master's and Ph.D. students.
